The crucible has made me realize just how easy people are to
push blames on others. It is also remarkable how fast these people are in
turning to blame their loved ones or close family and friends. It is sad to
think that all of the characters are gullible enough to believe in witches and
accuse each other of being one just to clear their own names and make their enemies
look bad just as children would. This shows how a religion can become more of a
cult and screen people away from the real world, depriving them of basic
knowledge. Just imagine if being a witch would be a good thing in the story. The
characters would be crazy enough to do the things that characterize a witch and
the entire town would go ballistic the same way it is now with blaming others
for revenge. No matter what the case is, the town will always be brainwashed by
its Puritan ways that lead to chaos. But the problem is that the characters
know no other way, and even if the leaders of their “cult” are taken down, they
won’t know any other way of living because they are so uneducated.
