In the spirit of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday, I would
like to take the time to express my thanks for a classmate that makes English
class more bearable. I have known of Elsi for two years now, but I haven't
gotten to truly know her until this year. The first day of school when I
unwillingly strolled into class, Elsi was the first person that said
"Hi" to me and she did so with a big smile on her face. Even though
we had never formally met, Elsi made it seem like we've been friends for a long
time. She is always happy, smiling and cheerful, and makes everyone around her
feel the same. I am very grateful for a friend like this that I know I can count on.
